Book of the Week: Charles Stross, The Atrocity Archives
In a world where proving the wrong mathematical theorem might call up something nasty, many-angled, and hungry from a parallel universe, Bob Howard is an IT geek/necromancer who works for an agency called The Laundry, whose function is to keep said math under wraps and away from an unsuspecting public - while, at the same time, maintaining ISO-9000 compliance. It's Dilbert meets H.P. Lovecraft, Cold-War spy-thriller-stylee, and I haven't giggled so much in ages.
